Located on the east of the village of Vinsobres, protected from the Mistral winds, the vineyards of Domaine Saint Vincent inhabit the land of the former convent of Saint Césaire de Nyons, where a chapel was erected in memory of Saint Vincent, the patron saint of winegrowers. It was in this privileged place that in the 1920’s, the Domaine Saint Vincent was created. Today Philippe Lescoche and his daughter Ludivine, grow and develop the estate with great passion for the wines and the historical significance of this ancient land.
The estate covers 50 hectares of vines. It is mainly constituted of Grenache and Syrah grapes, emblematic varieties of the Rhône Valley. The vine is organically cultivated with perseverance and dedication with respect for ancestral tradition and the environment.
Oriented North East / South West and culminating at an altitude of more than 500 meters, the terroir of the Vinsobres hills are characterized by a great diversity of soils. Their potentiality and richness give wines great complexity. The Vinsobres terroir is expressed its strong Syrah grape variety which gives the wine its remarkable freshness and its spicy side.
