Deep red color with ruby glints with a nose of ripe red berries, plums, crushed strawberries and balsamic vanilla aromas. The palate is round and voluminous followed by a robust mid-palate and finishing with notes of leather and spices.
Planting density of 5000 vine stocks per hectare on clayey-chalky hillsides. Vine training method is high trellising with Royat pruning.
Night mechanical harvest to preserve the grapes' quality potential. Gentle de-stemming and pressing of grapes. Fermentation under temperature control. Grapes from different plots are separately vinified to keep each vine’s typicality and enable original blends. Limited sulfites addition.
Pairs with white meat in rich sauces, bbq pork, pheasant with mushrooms, grilled meats and stews.
Cellars for two or three years in good storage conditions.
