Deep garnet-red color with a vinous and intense bouquet of cherries. Dry, full-bodied with present but round tannins, this wine embodies harmoniousness and persistence on the palate.
Barbera D'Asti D.O.C.G.
Vineyards located on sunny hillsides of Monferrato, composed of loose, light-colored clay soils. Hand harvesting.
After hand-harvesting, the grapes are de-stemmed and crushed, then left for fermentation on their own skins with indigenous yeasts. The repeated marc pressing facilitates the extraction of color and polyphenolic compounds. The wine then spends one year in used oak casks to complete the maturation before bottling.
An ideal wine for main courses such as risotto, stews, roasts and game.
Serve at 60-65˚ F.
