Deep red wine with a gorgeous nose of cherry and floral notes of iris and peony. On the palate, aromas of candied fruit, kirsch and cherry mingle with notes of currants, blackberries and undergrowth. Pair with gratins, game, beef bourguignon, red meats and cheeses.
The Côte du Py terroir is a real jewel in the region and is the origin of a silky and rich cuvée. Bel-Air is lucky to have 6 hectares of more than 60 years old vines in the prestigious and best-known cru of the Beaujolais. The soil is made of manganese and iron oxide. The production is controlled by way of the pruning in Gobelet and high density of seeding, obtaining a quality harvest full of sugar and flavors. Picked by hand, we focus our attention on precise sorting in the vineyards. Our vines are grown sustainably as it is essential for us to keep the terroir unspoiled to enable it to express all its potential.
